Vibrating Floor by Rompa®

The Vibrating Floor provides strong tactile input across the whole body. Users lie, sit or kneel on the cushioned 2 x 1 m surface, and a built-in oscillator produces vibration whose frequency and intensity can be adjusted to the individual.

It can also be driven by sound: the supplied amplifier and leads connect it to a music centre or radio so that music is felt as vibration, and the included microphone lets users feel their own voice, which can motivate vocalisation. This makes it valuable for people with partial or total sight or hearing loss and is also used with autistic children and adults who seek deep, organised sensory input.
