Rompa

Rompa is a British sensory equipment company based in Chesterfield, England, that has spent more than 35 years designing, manufacturing and installing multi-sensory environments. It was set up with a simple purpose: to improve quality of life for people of all ages and abilities, and that purpose still shapes a range used today in hospitals, special schools, autism services, care homes and family homes.

Rompa is the home of the Snoezelen® brand of sensory products and holds the official registered trademark for Snoezelen®. The name is associated with controlled multi-sensory spaces in which light, sound, touch, movement and aroma are combined to help users relax, engage and explore at their own pace. Rompa's catalogue covers the core building blocks of these rooms – bubble tubes, fibre optics, effects projectors, interactive wall panels, wireless switches and control systems – alongside water beds, soft play, therapy swings and frames, positioning cushions, weighted products and developmental learning resources.

Much of the range is made to order in the UK, with upholstered items produced in customers' chosen colours. Beyond individual products, Rompa offers bespoke design and installation of sensory rooms and soft play areas, and supports customers worldwide through international partners. The company is ISO 9001 certified and is a member of trade bodies including BESA.
