TOi Robot® Therapy & Learning System

TOi Robot® by Ortmed is a children's therapy and learning system built around a friendly robot with a childlike voice and playful activities that capture attention and motivate participation. Ortmed developed it to bring the benefits of a controlled multi-sensory environment (CEMS) at a more affordable cost and in a portable format.

The system uses wireless tools with ultra-sensitive touch and motion sensors, including the Sensy Magic® Cube and Sensy Magic® skateboard/seesaw, to prompt voluntary motor actions. It stimulates and trains sight, hearing, touch, smell, the vestibular system and proprioception, supporting multiple sensory stimulation, psychomotor training, cause and effect, memory, learning and balance.

More than 200 activities can be adapted and dosed to different conditions and are used across physical therapy, occupational therapy, cognitive therapy, language therapy, sensory integration and learning, for children with or without disabilities. Ortmed reports that interaction with TOi can help reduce anxiety and increase motivation in autistic children.
