Overview
The Safety Rotational Device is an essential component for any swing hung from a single suspension point. Fitted between the suspension point and the swing using the included Safety Snap, it absorbs rotational forces so that ropes, straps and frames do not twist and wind up as the swing turns.
A steel roller bearing allows smooth, safe rotation in either direction, which is important for sensory integration therapy where spinning and rotary vestibular input are used deliberately. It can be installed either way up and is rated to 725 kg (1600 lb). The exact appearance may differ from the image, but the function and load rating remain the same. Rompa recommends that swings and suspension equipment are used under trained supervision and checked regularly.
