Overview
The Musical Abstract Tactile Panel brings together things to see, touch and hear. Fluid shapes, raised and recessed areas and contrasting textures sit alongside musical elements that produce sound when played, so users can explore, compare and make music on the same surface.
Because it invites shared play, the panel is useful for promoting social skills such as conversation, listening and turn-taking, as well as imaginative and creative interaction. The bright sections also support colour recognition, visual perception and discrimination, and the variety of movements required helps develop fine motor function.
It is wall-mounted and needs no power.
