Overview

The NeuroTrac Sports XL (ETS201) extends the Sports concept to larger muscle groups. Each of its two isolated channels drives two lead wires, giving eight electrode positions, so large areas such as both quadriceps or the full posterior chain can be covered in one session.

It comes with 21 preset sports programmes and 3 customisable ones, and multiphase programmes can vary parameters over time. Pulse width (50–330 µs), rate (2–100 Hz), ramp time (0.1–9.9 s) and work/rest cycles are adjustable, with sessions of 1–90 minutes and symmetrical biphasic output up to 90 mA into 500 Ω. Manufacturer indications include muscle building, toning and rehabilitation, sports training and recovery, pain relief including back pain, and improved circulation, strength and endurance.

As with all electrotherapy, it is not for patients with demand-type pacemakers, and use in pregnancy, over the carotid sinus or across the chest requires medical advice.
