Overview

The NeuroTrac MyoPlus 2 Pro (MYO220P) gives clinicians two channels of EMG and two of stimulation, so two muscles, or a target muscle and an accessory muscle, can be monitored or treated together. Modes include EMG biofeedback, EMG-triggered stimulation (ETS), stimulation in constant, synchronous, alternating and modulated patterns, and TENS; multiphase programmes chain EMG, ETS and STIM into one session.

The manufacturer lists indications such as stress incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic pain, patellofemoral pain syndrome, muscle atrophy and stroke or paresis rehabilitation. A colour touchscreen with voice prompts, manual or automatic thresholds, and Bluetooth (up to 10 m) to NeuroTrac PC Software for stored sessions and progress reports make it a practical clinic workhorse that is still light enough for supervised home use.

As with all electrotherapy, it is not for patients with demand-type pacemakers, and use in pregnancy, over the carotid sinus or across the chest requires medical advice.
