Overview

The NeuroTrac Sports (ECS401A) is a neuromuscular electrical stimulator aimed at athletes and rehabilitation patients working under a physiotherapist's guidance. The manufacturer lists indications including increasing muscle strength, maintaining or improving range of movement, increasing blood supply in intermittent claudication, warming up before exercise and preventing disuse atrophy.

Fifteen built-in sports programmes (P01–P15) cover common training goals, and three customisable programmes let clinicians set their own parameters, with frequency from 2 to 100 Hz, pulse width from 50 to 450 µs and work/rest periods of 2–99 s for sessions up to 90 minutes. Channels A and B can run alternately or synchronously. A lock mode records time and intensity for home compliance, open-electrode detection resets output to zero, and the unit switches off after four minutes of non-use.
