HUR Pec Deck EA Wheelchair-Accessible Strength Machine

The HUR Pec Deck EA (ST9160-Hi5) is a wheelchair-accessible pneumatic strength machine for the chest muscles. It belongs to HUR's Easy Access range, built so that wheelchair users can train without transferring; a removable Easy Access adjustable chair lets ambulant users share the same machine.

Like every HUR machine it works with pneumatic (air) resistance instead of a weight stack. Training starts from a near-zero load and is raised in small steps, so frail, post-operative or deconditioned users can begin safely and progress at their own pace. In the SmartTouch version the machine identifies the user, loads their personal programme on the Hi5 touchscreen and records every set; an analogue-display version is also offered.

Notable details: independently moving arms and handgrips for getting on and off.

Who uses it in the UAE: neuro and spinal-cord-injury rehabilitation centres, hospitals, and inclusive gyms serving People of Determination alongside other members.
