WINBACK

WINBACK was founded in 2013 in Biarritz, on France's Basque coast, by Christophe Buée and Pierre-Nicolas Lebas. Their idea was to give clinicians a single treatment that brings together clinical assessment, physical therapy and manual therapy, and they built that idea around TECAR, the transfer of capacitive and resistive energy.

WINBACK devices deliver radiofrequency at three frequencies, 300, 500 and 1000 kHz, so the therapist can target hard tissues such as tendons, ligaments and joints, soft tissues such as muscle and fascia, or the skin and subcutaneous layer. The company layers its own Hi-TENS and Hi-EMS currents on top of TECAR, so pain management, muscle work and manual techniques can happen in the same session while the patient is moving.

Today the range includes the BACK4 and BACK3TX TECAR platforms, the Winshock cryo-thermo electrotherapy device, the G-Move Suit wearable compression exoskeleton, and a family of connected accessories for fascia work and pelvic health. Training is central: the WINBACK Academy teaches protocols and techniques to clinicians who buy the equipment.

WINBACK now operates in 55 countries through seven subsidiaries, with equipment in more than 300 hospitals and clinics and used by more than 400 sports medical staff.
